On August 11th, the Monday after Hurricane Isselle hit our island, Foundation Directors Laura Mallery-Sayre and Frank Sayre along with Fire Chief Darren Rosario, interviewed with Sherry Bracken of LAVA 105.3 Radio Station.

It was an enlightening discussion, with Chief Rosario covering the Hawaii Fire Department's involvement with the hurricane relief efforts here on Hawaii Island, current Department needs, and Department goals for the future.

Laura and Frank shared the history and mission of the Foundation, our upcoming Seventeenth Annual Fundraiser, and the role the Foundation is playing in assisting the Hawaii Fire Department to acquire equipment and training vital in helping save lives.

To listen to the entire interview, visit The Big Island News Center website, scroll down the right hand side of the page to the Island Issues Interviews, Number 10 on the list.
